Not sure where the comment re having to do it all in one year unlike QF/BA. Under the QF system to hit WP you have to get 1400 SCs in your qualifying year - so if you increase travel mid qualifying year it can take two years of flying to qualify.

MPO is it seems tougher to qualify - I would just about make it this year (160K BIS miles in J/F - it would be close) as opposed to 4xqualify on QF and 2xqualify on AA...

I will still keep enjoying the Wing/Pier and every other lounge I can - and I hope you get to experience other great lounges like the new SYD F lounge.
