It turned out I can stay at a friend's apartment who will be traveling during the holidays, it's very near Roppongi station so if I understand, that's near many of the fine hotels in Tokyo.

Mr 999 actually can read some Japanese, so it sounds like between that and helpful staff we should be able to get fed. We are adventuresome so if we occassionally get something other than what we thought we'd get, that's okay.

Great suggestions for cultural exploration. Keep those coming, the other days we'll just do a lot of sight seeing and walking and training around.
