I was talking about the amusement park when I described it as disgusting. We were there about a year ago - and I would not recommend it for more than a very short visit.
There are too many other unique things to do in Vegas than go to a grungy, crowded amusement park.
The Silverton's fish tank, Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, M & M World/Gameworks, Top of the Stratosphere, Roller Coaster at NYNY, Cyber Speedway at Sahara just to name a few that might interest an 8 year old boy.
