After reading this thread about the powers of the 1K worldwide upgrade certs, I, a non-1K, have decided to go full out and qualify for 1K next year, whereas previously I was unsure. I'm sure I'm not the only one, as Ozstamps is also lured to 1K status by the same certs.

If UA were to be influenced by this thread regarding the said certs, let it be in favor of keeping it or expanding its powers or numbers because it is one MAJOR reason many of us are still flying (even more so) on this labor-induced, weather-related, ATC-compounded, equipment-affected, fan-hitting, downhill-rolling, head-banging fiasco known to some as United Airlines.

So, I thank Rudi for sharing this with us and giving me that last reason I need to spend more money on UA so I can be a card-carrying 1K clique member next year. I also thank Ozstamps for bringing up his concern, and looking out for us FT'ers.
