Violist .. I KNOW exactly what wording they have now on those Certs. NONE of us know what wording on the next batch will say. Probably that includes UA right now. These things are fluid and ever changing. Lets not give them cause or reason to change ANYTHING!

The more UA feel these are being overused/misused for multiple legs the greater chance the wording or clauses I have outlined aboue, or something like it, will get printed on the 2001 versions.

Please remember that WW2 patriotic phrase -- "loose lips sink ships" And that other phrase .. "The Walls Have Ears".

We have all seen yearly amendments and fine tunings to rules on all sorts of things airlines tighten up on. The USER is ALWAYS the loser of course when changes are made, not the airlines!

Lets shed a tear for the now departed Double Upgrades. And the discounted point rate "2 person awards". And the neat coupons that gave you another 25,000 or whatever miles OFF those discounted "double person" rates. etc, etc. This may be another casualty in its present form unless people cool it on this matter fast IMHO.

Answering this and bringing back to top of United board threads as you did is EXACTLY what is NOT wise IMHO! Please all, READ, absorb, and leave this thread, and let any future ones like this wither and be archived!
