I would thus expect redemption availability to rise on BA metal, as most of the paying traffic shifts over to QF either directly or via the BA codeshares. Premium Economy looks especially nice on QF in comparison to BA.
The QF offering does look pretty decent. What with EK and SQ getting the BigBus as well and deploying it to LHR and SYD from their respective bases, I'm wondering if BA redemption availability will head to zero as they pull off the Kangaroo run and settle for a c/share with QF.
I know it's been speculated about endlessly on here, but that was my immediate reaction when I saw the QF offering. It would be a sad day for British commercial aviation if that was to happen.
