What happened: LAX-HNL, 767 Overnight MX check took longer than expected, results in 4 hr 50 min delay

Compensation: Meal voucher, 9000 miles

Comments: compensation not requested, pleasantly surprised to see the 9k appear in our AAdvantage accounts. Hadn't seen this thread before.

Volunteers requested before normal departure time due to 'possible oversold situation'. In true FT fashion, the Mrs. & I were first on the list. Later determined that volunteers were not needed.
