Bear is a "he!"
I have not seen anything on what the "official policy" is about the E+ seats but I do distinctly remember when they first came out we were told that inflight anyone could move in to them. I usually fly international so I don't have a whole lot of experience with the E+ zone but the few times I have flown domestically lately no one really shows much interest in wanting to move into it.
Another victory for airline marketing setting customers' expectations way too high. Now we spend a lot of time explaining NO this plane doesn't have them, they are only in two-class aircraft; NO not ALL seats (i.e., YOURS) are like that, just the first few rows; NO that is AA that does it "throughout coach;" NO the row behind you doesn't have more leg room, it just looks like that from your angle; NO I don't know why they don't do it on the higher-yield, three-class international planes.....
