I'm spending a bit over half the year in Boston, and it seems like Logan is a big UA hub
Although UA carries a lot of passengers from BOS, it isn't a hub-- UA only flies to five airports, its hubs at IAD, ORD, SFO, LAX, and DEN. UA's partner, US Airways, is the largest carrier there, and has more nonstops. There are also a lot of flights on AA and American Eagle.
