Are the 80 TPs worth 150 quid and 5 hours of your time?

If so, do SFO-LAX on AA in first class for $219, available for lots of dates in September. (Choose "Instant Upgrade" fare, which is not really an upgrade at all and is a First class fare (KUP) and earns 60 TP.)

Then you can do LAX-SFO in cheap economy for as low as $49. Or go back in first for another 60 TP to start your new earning year for another $219.

Plus taxes.

It it's not worth this amount of time and money to you, you will lose the 80 TP.
