As GS is not a mileage-based program, but an invitation-only program to recognize high-spend and VIP customers, 30K miles more flying or 200K more won't qualify unless enough of all the flying is done in qualifying first, business, and coach fares (i.e., F,P,C,D,Z,A,Y,B). Sticking with UA after passing the 1K mark does qualify one for more redeemable miles useable on upgrades, in addition to the bene mentioned (2 more SWUs after 150K annual and 2 more after each added 50K mile mark.) Also it gets one to Million-Mile status that much earlier with added one-time SWUs and lifetime 1P status.
