Having seen the Jazz payscale, yes the pay is low IMO, however there will always be takers. In low time junior pilot world, getting on with Jazz is touching the big boys (closer to AC and it's heavies). Their will always be more eager pilots than cockpits to fill, so finding pilots will not be difficult, te right ones could be a different story.
A Dash 8 right seat with Jazz as opposed to a Flying Pencil (Metroliner)/King Air will be an upgrade for most pilots who are striving to reach the majors.
Nice to see Jazz is being proactive in finding the right people. I hope for Jazz's sake they have a loyalty bonus/penalty clause for the new hires.
A fella I know took half pay to get on with Jazz. According to him,he is waiting for AC mainline to look at him.5% of pilots from Jazz make mainline(his words).
If it does not happen,He is headed to Hong Kong where the wages are much better.(again,his words).Co-pilot on 737s as well
