Don't Take "No" for an Answer from AS
I flew on AS 808 today from SEA to DFW. I had purchased the ticket as a DL codeshare, i.e. ticket stock beginning with 006. When I called on Sunday morning to secure an upgrade on the flight using my electronic Plat NW upgrade coupons, I was greeted with, "sorry, these aren't valid on codeshare tickets" by two Alaska phone reps. On the third try I had no problem securing the rightful upgrade. I thouroughly enjoyed the upgrade; the meal and the personal entertainment system were great.
Did I get lucky? Are codeshare flights on AS really non-upgradeable with the NW coupons? I found no verbiage about this rule on the upgrade email from NW.
Has anyone noticed that a published rule of the AS Boardroom is a three drink limit, at least in the SEA club? Also, what's up with the Bible verse that comes with a first class meal? Seems like that might alienate some pax.
