Okay, I'll give it try.
I graduated from a public So Cal university (ranking in the top 25 national public colleges) close to seven years ago majoring in Japanese language.
Upon graduation, I landed a job at a multi-billion dollar Japanese food manufacturer based out of the Southern California region as a production coordinator. Within the next several years, I have succeeded in reducing production costs while being an integral team in setting up a new manufacturing facility in Mexico (those two years of Spanish back in high school helped a bit too!).
However, what I really want to do is try my luck in Sales and/or Marketing utilizing my Japanese language skills as I have a profound knowledge in International Business, especially those with the Asian market. However, the usual catch-22 phrase of "need career change, need experience, hence no experience, therefore no career change" takes its toll upon me.
Other experience: Aside from my day-job, I also am semi-self employed in translations. I tend to the needs of the Japanese entertainment industry (music, games, anime, etc...) on my spare time. Henceforth, this is also another option that I am willing to consider should anyone have an offer in this area.
If anyone is interested, please PM me and I will send you my resume.
