Fair Question.

I have AA Gold by virtue of one million lifetime miles.

I have two one way revenue tix NYC - SFO that Y-UP or K-Upped (what even the correct verbiage) and is booked DIRECTLY into P class.

Unless I am mistaken P class NYC-SFO will earn 180 tier points each way.

Is this a correct assumption?
Its not F class or Z class , but P class.

I wanted to try WT+ as I can't afford rev tixs in J across the pod and dislike 31 inch seat pitch.

It seems to me that T class WT+ is a solid value for self pay leisure flyer.

As I will Not make Platnium on AA, The incremental value of about 7000 redeemable miles in AAdvantage ,is worth ,at best $140 dollars.

It seemed to me that 360 tier points is far more valuable than $140.

My plan was to credit my WT+ fights and paid (discounted of course) premium cabin AA flights to BA.

Also Lan Chile has some decent affordable special promotional business fares.

If I fly WT Plus, I can't credit transatlantic to AAdvantage anyway.

so only choice would be AsiaMiles or Alaska, I do not have critical mass in either program

"P" class
