Were you happy with the hotel?

Yes.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

Booked a KING at the prepaid rate. Unlike previous stays, there was a flub. I did contact the hotel that I want to check in early. I arrived at 07:00 on a Thursday; while they were not obligated to take me until 08:00, they did accommodate me in another room, and I was told that my suite would be available later. No worries; I showered and changed, left my bags with the bellman and went to work. Came back around midnight, there was no suite available. Some error somewhere. Got another standard room. I talked to the manager in the morning; they were apologetic that no suites are available. Hmm. I didn't buy that. I did check online and they were not selling any suites for Friday, but had some available for the weekend. Told them that I really want a suite for the weekend; this worked out and I got a lovely suite, albeit with 2 double beds.

How are the rooms?

The executive suite is spacious enough to have a business meeting and has its own bathroom. Plus a lovely view of the Harbour Bridge and if you get one on the top 5 floors, of the Opera House.

How is the Exec. lounge?

Not used.

What was good and what was bad?

Good: Excellent hotel, excellent location.

Bad: Flub with upgrades.

Value for money? Would you return?

Given the recent high exchange rate of the Aussie dollar, it's very much in line with other hotels of caliber.
