Your ticket says so right on it doesn't it as does the airline website - so why do you imagine well all agree it is "odd" the airline has one clear rule for all passengers? And has had for many decades.
Actually, it is not just one pice of checked baggage (then you would have 1 PC on the ticket, rather than the weight allowance that applies within Europe).

You can use up your weight allowance any way you want - even if travelling in coach, you could check 3 bags with 8 kgs each since you stay below your 20 kg allowance.
