Mandalay Bay does maintain a small year-round outdoor heated pool, heated to 80 degrees fahrenheit, (26 C.) though it's not the big wave pool that's so famous. That pool re-opens in April, typically, after being closed for the winter.

Yes--this is a desert climate, the swings are far wider than people from coastal areas are used to.
I wouldn't want to swim in an outdoor pool in the winter no matter what the water was heated to.
