LGW- DUB IS NOT AND NEVER WILL BE a DOMESTIC flight..... it offers ET & CE cabins... SPIRITS SHOULD BE AVAILABLE, even if they get them from the front..... IF we don't complain then BA will think (wrongly) that it is fine to charge a fortune and give us NOTHING... You will probably get fobbed off with a BAnglore e-mail at first, but ping it back a few times highlighting what happened and how this WILL affect your choice of airline in future, etc etc.
cheers for that skipcool3 , i was actually planning on putting pen to ink over several issues to be honest! some good some bad, but the attitude on the lgw-dub was shocking! and complete rubbish, especially as i had just come from a NQY-LGW flight which is only about 35 mins flying time and they managed to serve me a vodka with no problems! i can understand getting bird seed on that flight but lgw-dub at meal times should get something, especially from a full service airline!
todays breakfast service from Dub-Lgw had a very cold, almost frozen bacon roll, but the crew were great, with nothing being too much trouble! mind you it was a shambles at bag drop at Dublin this morning, 45 mins to drop a bag getting to the airport after onci and pyobp with over 1hr 45 before the flight, by the time aviance had messed around with one desk for bag drop and 2 for club, for a flight that only had 4 club rows and out of that about 6 club px, i ask you!
by the time me and the rest got through security at Dublin we nearly missed the flight getting to the gate with around 5 mins to spare before boarding, dont know why i bothered rushing as got on the flight to find that the captain was saying we would be delayed because the ground staff hadnt loaded the bags!!!
would like to say that its the first time that iv used BA NQY-LGW since its return, and the first time iv used Newquay since they have started messing with it, Newquay is now much, much better than it ever was as an airport, checkin staff were great, and the airport its self is going in the right direction. all of which ill point out to BA!
