If this is your first US domestic flight in a long while, just make sure you are aware of the restrictions on liquids, gels etc in your carry-on luggage. This includes toothpaste, cologne, shaving cream etc. Nothing over 3 ounces, and it must be presented in a separate quart sized clear bag.

Trust me, they are if possible even more anal about this at most European security checks!!

The only difference I notice between US and European security is that you get to keep your shoes on if you wish. Everything else that goes out or off in the U.S. goes out and off in Europe.
