I may be happy but my colleages without status aren't. It appears that this improved service, at least as far as baggage is concerned, doesn't extend to non prem/status pax. Into LAX 3 weeks ago with a few colleagues, my bags arrive within 5 minutes of clearing immigration, theirs took ~40mins. On return leg a week later again my baggage arrived within ~5 minutes of clearing immigration, the other guys, well ~1 hour later all but one bag had materialised. On further enquirey it transpired that the final bag was in a container that never made it off the tarmac in LA!
Its a bit unfortunate that the gent who had the delayed baggage has had poor delivery and lost baggage experiences with BA in the past and has been flying almost exclusively with VS over the last couple of years as a result. He'd been upgraded to CW on the inbound leg so I think this tempered things a bit but can't help but think he will still be sticking with VS!
