Dcutcher, my UA C memory only goes back about five years, but during that time UA has never used Dupont toiletries, nor were there two versions of H20 kits.
Currently the "relax" bag with H20 products. Before that, a rectangular zippered pouch containing Crabtree & Evelyn products. And previously, "the sack" with Aerosense.
The Crabtree and Evelyn pouch came in green, blue, and red colors--maybe grey, but I don't recall it specifically.
As far as I can remember, the only thing better about the Crabtree & Evelyn kit was that I like a zippered pouch better than a drawstring back. The C&E kit did not contain any item categories (lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, mints, socks, eyeshades, earplugs, tissues) that the current H20 kit lacks.
Conclusion: there has been no decline in C amenity kit quality in recent months/years except for:
(1) the change in supplier from C&E to H20, which some may see as a downgrade (and others may see as an upgrade).
(2) the toothpaste issue: first switching from Rembrandt to Colgate, and then temporary losing toothpaste due to the antifreeze issue.
In fact, I think that in the past few months the H20 body butter tubes were switched to a larger size, and the Rembrandt tubes were also switched to a much bigger size right before Rembrandt was axed.
Do you also fly TG? They use Dupont.
