While griping about which line you're in may be petty, in the OP's defense, it seems that what drove him to complain was the attitude of the screener, not the fact that he was in the "long" line. Anybody who's job is to deal with the public needs to maintain a certain level of professionalism. And the public has a right to complain when they are treated poorly.
^^I've also had nothing bur great customer service experiences in ATL on the few occasions where I've had issues with Delta.

The Delta agent explained to the DGS people how customers need to be treated. The supervisor also told me that she wasn't contacted, so I don't know what the guy was going on the phone.
