I am going to try my luck on this thread

I recently graduated from a small liberal arts college on the West coast with a BA in Economics and graduating with honors on my senior comprehensives. For matters of the heart I moved to Raleigh, NC and am currently looking for work. I have experience in the hospitality and land development industry. Ideally, I would like to go into construction/project management or event/meeting planning with an international firm.

I have tried my luck at a few staffing firms, but they seem to be interested in filling the positions as quickly as possible and not really looking for the best candidate. For the time being I am looking for anything that would be medium-term in length (3-5 years), has people interaction and would really like to avoid call center work.

Any hints and help would be greatly appreciated!

P.S. The career counsleor at my college has suggested the Enterprise Management Training Program as a good step. Does anyone have any experience with this program or know anything about it?
