Many airlines charge extra for paper tickets, so that may be a consideration for you. LH charges USD$50 extra for a paper ticket over the e-ticket cost.

I just got a paper ticket from LH that includes 2 ANA legs but I was not charges the $50 fee by LH because my RTW ticket had too many legs to issue as an e-ticket.
