Can I transfer either of my Aeroplan mile types across to the Diamond Club somehow?

I'd like to stick with DC, as the credit card is nicely accumulating points on a daily basis

In the words of a KLM telephone agent, "that is not possible".

You would have to just forget about your Aeroplan mile and start using your DC number. Or you could just continue with aeroplan until you have enough miles to buy something before making the switch?

Also depends where you are based and where you fly. I'm not too familiar with Aeroplan but I'd guess that if you travel with Air Canada often then it might be better to stay put. If not then moving is probably a good idea.
