I'd agree that the Balmoral isn't worth those sort of room rates. The service we had from there was only so-so and the first room they gave us you couldn't swing a cat in and it had adjoining doors through which we could hear the people on the other side (when we'd specifically requested a quiet room beforehand).

I got a corporate rate too which was about £180 per night. Wouldn't even return at that rate.
