Online upgrade requests on AA still do not carry over to the airport upgrade standby list. Whether you are Gold, Platinum or Executive Platinum, if your online request is not cleared by the time you get to the airport, don't assume you have been rolled over to the list that they will use to determine who eventually gets the remaining seats. I have seen many Golds get upgrades in front of EXP passengers who thought that their online request carried over to the airport and didn't get on the airport's list.
