now, DMark... If I can come into town on Saturday, September 8th and depart on the redeye on the 10th.... you certainly can drag your sorry a** out at 1:00AM for some drinkies.... lol...

So... how 'bout drinks on 09/08 or 09/09
Back to topic,
Some recent comments from the incredibly knowledgeable and fine folks over on the LVA boards,
blended opinions... seems quite YMMV, though, they are all recent comments.
No good VP left, except for $5 JOB
The buffet is okay, the cafe is decent, but service sucks. Vic & Anthony's was inedible when we tried it, Grotto is okay, but too expensive for what it is and there is much better Italian available cheaper elsewhere (Nora's).
The pool looks great, shark tank is cool. Not being a pool user I couldn't tell you what it's like hanging out in/by the pool.
The regular rooms are okay, the suites are nice, the spa suites are great.
GN food Vic and Anthony's good to above average---buffet upstairs very well lit food sub par and that even includes breakfast---cocktail service above average---Noodle House just a bunch of vegetables and a tad dirty. Really like Grotto's food very good. Pool very nice and a good idea for looks not very practical to enjoy. Poker room very busy and real nice.
Suites are very nice. I for one thought the food at Vic and Anthony's was excellent. Food at the coffee shop was OK as was the buffet. High limit area is nice, but small. Decent BJ rules in the high limit. Pool was great. My wife loves the spa. One thing that people forget to mention about the Nugget is the convenience. You're not walking miles to your room or to go and eat. Valets is reasonably quick and add to that the fact that any number of casinos is steps away and not a cab ride to get there. For higher play table action, it is comparable with the strip.
