have any of you noticed, apart from the different sized bird on the tail, larger text on the fuselage, absent logo on the engines and funny little white bit on the bottom of the tail, the 'old' SQ livery also had a feature where the blue/orange/gold stripe on the fuselage always started from the second window on B777 and A340 and on B744s, the second window after door 1. (you don't really see it, because the first few windows after door 1 are now blocked out for the toilets, but in previous configurations where there were 24 F seats, there was always a window visible, and then the stripe would start). i actually find it asthetically more interesting that way, rather than start with the stripe immediately. thats so banal...
someone was talking about feng shui as a cause for these changes. isn't it very middle ages to have to rely on feng shui to run a major corporation and spend money to repaint planes just because you believe that removing the bird logo from the engines will give the 'main bird' on the tail more power? hope thats not the real reason for these changes.
