Kilauea's newest lava finger, fed by a channel overflow, began just before noon, the day-before-yesterday, this past Tuesday, Aug 21st; potentially posing a threat to people and property. Co-incidentally, the fissure responsible for this newest flow, began exactly one month prior, on July 21st. My hopes for a benign outcome to any and all affected.
