Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes. Nice old-style elegant property, possibly the nicest in Amsterdam! ^
- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked the cheapest room available which was a “King Bed Executive Square View” at $728 per night (€513 + 5% VAT)

and was upgraded to an Executive Suite (which goes for about €1000 per night (or almost double what I paid). Unfortunately I arrived on a Sunday night for a 2 night stay, one night too late to use a BOGO cert. There were no award rooms so I had no other choice but to suck it up and shell out for the cheapest available room, which certainly didn’t seem so cheap to me.

I also visited Italy/Greece/Ireland/Switzerland/France on this trip and I learned from this trip that it sure gets expensive being a tourist from the USA with the crappy exchange rate and I certainly felt it on this stay.
- How are the rooms?
Very nice room, large, nicely furnished, with a great view. Separate sitting area and bedroom. Room was about 600 Sq. Ft. Bathroom had nice marble floors, etc and had a separate shower and tub.
- How is the exec. lounge?
None, but who needs one anyways with that maxibar…………….
- What was good and what was bad?
The good: The minibar!!!! All I can say is: ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Dems were some big bottles!!
The (horribly) bad: This time I didn’t have friends to come help me out with the minibar, therefore I barely got to take advantage of the (not so mini) minibar.

What a shame!
- Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Well, it certainly was one of the nicer hotels I’ve stayed at. I will definitely give them that. Was 2 nights for $1500 a good value? I’d hafta say “no”. I definitely would return but next time I would try to stay over a Fri/Sat night so I could use a BOGO, or else I’d plan in advance and try to get an award room to help my wallet out a little bit.
