I was always told that they try to avoid posting later times because once it's posted it's official. This would prevent them from getting off the gate earlier if the situation presented itself. Of course, having said that, within the last month that theory was disproved twice. They had posted delayed times, and then I almost missed both flights when they decided to leave before the posted time. As always, just when you think you figure it out they go and keep you confused.
