Yes, the Hilton Mews in London. Been there 3 times. First time was lovely, we really liked it. Second time was a completely different experience. Bad service, surly personnel, etc. We decided to give it one last shot a third time to see if we could rekindle our first experience, but had no luck. Had no room at check-in, the concierge that we really liked had quit and his replacement not nearly as good, etc. etc.

So yes, it happens. Often I think you just need to go with your gut. If it stunk before, the chances are likely that it will stink again.

Having said that though, we had a wonderful stay at the IC Sydney, so who knows.
