In a DL-NWA merger, MSP gets de-hubbed easy. I understand it's NWA's current HQ, etc. but I don't think that lasts.

In any potential merger HQ goes to ATL.

In the DTW versus MSP debate, DTW has new and larger facilities (including 2 sets of parallel runways) plus (slightly) better winter weather. DTW gets positioned versus ORD for international flights.

On the plus side, a de-hubbed MSP will likely lead to more competition and lower airfaires.
