I have been helped immensely by all your helpful posts. I have understood the following things but I have couple of quick questions.

1. From NRT to Tokyo or Shinagawa, one has to take Narita Express Train which is covered under JR Rail Pass. Which place is closer and convenient from NRT...Tokyo or Shinagawa ? I have one normal Travel Bag with wheels and one laptop bag pack.

2. From Tokyo/Shinagawa, one can take Shinkansen (Hikari) train to Kyoto. Once I reach Kyoto what transport mode should I use. I am going to stay in KARASUMA KYOTO HOTEL (Shijyo-sagaru, Karasuma-dori, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto 600-8412, Japan). I think it is near Shijo subway station. Any insight would be useful.

3. I am already late to get a JR Rail Pass and I am leaving in less than 36 hours from USA, will be it be possible to buy JR Rail Pass by my credit card or by cash at NRT ?
