Last year I requalified for Elite with 53 segments for 37,428 status miles (including the 5000 bonus at the start of the year). I was working in Newark at the time, so it was basically a back and forth between YYZ and EWR all year. It was, without a doubt, the WORST travel year of my life. All the pain and agony of moving through airports, and you don't even get a chance to get a decent few hours sleep during the flight. Plus, the summer was a disaster last year with the thunderstorms.

Never again, I say. If I end up having to work in Jersey again anytime soon, I'll just stay down there on the weekends and go into NYC instead, and then maybe once a month take a nice long mileage run somewhere.
