When I checked in for a United flight in SFO recently, using the First Class line, I was told by the ticket counter agent that I shouldn't have used the first class line because my ticket was coach with a confirmed upgrade.

Has anybody else run into this? It won't affect me much since I can still use the 1K line on any fare, but it does seem to me that it's carrying the class system a bit too far.

Any thoughts?
