Well, for what is worth, my husband got a Platinum card at the beginning of the year, when they offered a free companion ticket *and* 2000 bonus miles. The companion ticket arrived, but no miles ever posted. We just figured out what happened: First USA issued my husband a new MP #, and that's where the miles have been posting since...

It's taking quite a bit of time trying to get UA to rectify this problem...
