Put in that if they want to continue to persue the issue they should not contact you but your lawyer for all future references, and WE always closed the case right away......
Few-Flyer, that is exactly what happened to me. Though I didn't have the personal lawyer threat in my letter, I did cc the Hawaii and California Attorney Generals to let them know what was happening to me and that, based on my findings here in Flyertalk, that it seems to be a trend among Alamo and National to retroactively claim damage.

If damage is really a problem, I wonder why their agents don't do a better job of looking over the cars when they are returned BEFORE the customer walks away with the receipt.
