Yes, I think that would 'ruin' her holiday.
I can quite see how an unexperienced traveler might be very anxious waiting for baggage to appear, probably with great difficulty in obtaining information from BA. However, these were delivered two days later. I can quite believe that these two days were 'ruined' but the whole holiday??
