I am trying to book a trip from the US to Seoul (ICN) with a stop over in Tokyo. Searching the OW options from NRT to ICN, Japan Airlines (JL) seems to have several direct flights from HND and NRT to one of the 2 Seoul airports (GMP and ICN). However, some of these flights are JL codeshares operated by Korean Air (KE).

Does anyone have any experience flying on a JL codeshare as a AA elite?

Do you get EQM and EQP for JL codeshares operated by a third (non OW carrier)?

Would I be able to earn 1.5 EQP per mile on a full fare Y ticket?

What are the chances of an upgrade (no necc given the short flight) as a AA Plat on a JL flight when flying full Y? Does anything change on flights operated by KE?
