I am new to this site and although I did a search I could not find the info I needed.

We are a family of four with each of us having a balance of 31,549 miles. These were earn't in Dec06/Jan07 and the balance includes a bonus because of a 10 hour delay in Hnl in Jan.

We are also members of Qantas Club/Frequent Flyers and we regularly do family transfers which are free. The benefit to us is that we can then make one booking from one of the parents membership instead of 4 individual flight bookings.

With Aeroplan this would cost us $620 CAD x 3 people to transfer all the points to one person's account. Is there any way around this?

When will our points expire and how can we keep them alive from Australia when most rewards can only be sent to the US or Canada?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
