No idea regarding the international news channels - we didn't watch much TV, what with the food and free internet access and international newspapers and so on.

As for the flight report, I'm planning on posting up a report of the whole trip some time this week when I finish putting it together, and this will be part of it, but I'll have to say I was *very* impressed (and other segments on this trip included an 11 hour Lufthansa F and a 7 hour United international F, for comparison).
