Tight Schedule

You have a pretty tight schedule. Arriving at 2:15 in IAH means you will arrive when all flights from Europe are arriving, therefore there will be long lines at immigration. Around that same time there are other flights arriving from London (BA and CO), Amsterdam (KL), Frankfurt (LH), and the one you are in with AF. This is in addition to the normal load of flights from Mexico and Latin America.

If you hold a US passport or have US residence, it may take you at least an hour to check immigration. If you do not have any of those, assume an hour and a half at least. Then add the Customs line, although this one is realtively fast. But again, if you run into any delays on your flight, you will miss your return flight.

Try booking the IAH-CDG AF flight that leaves in the evening if it is available on your dates.

Good luck!
