Were these all on the same flight? Note that the F-Class cabin only has 8 seats, so that might have been something to do with it. Taking the last seat in any cabin will usually kick it up to the highest possible fare, and as far as I know, there are few if any pricing engines that can split a multi-person group across all possible booking classes... most (all?) will kick the whole group up to the highest bucket that can hold all of them.
