The same thing happened to me on a recent stay at the IC in GVA. When pressed for reassurance that I wouldn't be charged for what I'd consumed from the minibar, the agent revealed that the reason she wanted to know what I'd consumed was for the hotel's own internal audit purposes. Anyway, the Bucharest IC has clearly improved since I was there 2 years ago. At that time, there was no Club lounge and the staff were much less keen (a double-edged sword in your case).
