This is quite an outlier as it really should not be a problem.
I just did this, but didn't specify how to apply the voucher. I used a 100 AB voucher for me & little 1780, the TA kept the PNR intact. However, little 1780's ticket was billed to my CC right away, mine was billed (I assume once they received the cert in the mail) a week later for the correct amount.
I figured the net was the same... so to me, it really didn't matter (its not like i am tetering on GS
).
