I know that the "napping areas" require proof of onward travel, but what about the transit hotel? We arrive at 12:30AM. We are staying for about 4 days at a nice hotel (Meritus Mandarin), but it doesn't make sense to pay for that night at the expensive place for just the few hours. Figure we'll crash at the Travel Hotel, then take the MRT to Orchard Road in the morning.

Assuming availability (it's 4 months from now), will this be allowed without onward travel wthin 24 hours?
