First, thanks to all of you who helped me work out an itinerary in an earlier thread.

This is our final itinerary, which I think nicely balances maximum mileage, interesting destinations and best service:

SFO-xJFK-HKG-BKK-NRT-SIN-HKG-SYD-ADL-SYD-CHC-SYD-LHR-DXB-LHR-MAD,LHR-xLAX-DEN-MIA-DEN (56133 miles)

We've decided to do this trip much sooner than originally planned. We are now going in Jan-Mar 2008. After the first DEN stop we'll take a break at home, using up the last two legs in late 2008 for a MIA vacation.

Anyway, I'm hoping to get the ticket issued very soon, like today or tomorrow. I'm trying to decide on the exact flight numbers to request, based on getting us on the best aircraft. Here's what I *think* I have figured out so far:

For the AA SFO-JFK, I want a 762 in order to get 3-class service.
For Cathay flights, I want to be on either a 744 or 346.
For BKK-NRT, I want JL718 since it has the new shell flat seats.
For NRT-SIN, I want JL719 for the same reason.

Am I on the right track here? Anything I'm missing with those?

Is there preferred equipment for flights that only offer QF Business?

Last, which offers a better F product for the HKG-SYD leg - CX or QF?
